Sophie Beasley is a second-year graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh pursuing a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, having completed her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science and Disorders at the same institution. During her undergraduate studies, she completed a LEND Medium-Term Traineeship, which informed her decision to pursue further involvement with LEND in graduate school. Her clinical experience includes augmentative and alternative communication access, as well as evaluation and treatment in outpatient children's hospital settings, with a focus on family-centered care and child-led therapy. Her professional interests include communication access, disability advocacy, interdisciplinary collaboration, and policy related to equity and inclusion in patient care.
