Morgan Roy
- LEND Speech Language Pathology Trainee
Morgan Roy is a second year Speech-Language Pathology student at the University of Pittsburgh. She is expected to graduate in May of 2026. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorder from James Madison University (JMU) in 2024.
Her interest in working with neurodivergent children has grown throughout her lifetime as she grew up with a younger brother on the autism spectrum. These interests have led her through numerous volunteer positions, clinical placements, and an undergraduate thesis written through the ReAL Lab at JMU. Collectively these experiences have further developed Morgan’s devotion to the disability field.
Morgan is dedicated to advocating for people of all abilities to have equality and access, especially to communication. She has spent numerous hours studying the implementation of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) devices and has acquired many hours of client contact time working with these individuals and their communication tools. Morgan is thrilled to be a 2025-2026 trainee and is eager to take her experiences from this program and use them throughout her career to make wider change.
