Molly Pruitt

  • LEND Occupational Therapy Trainee

Molly is a third-year Doctor of Occupational Therapy student at the University of Pittsburgh. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2024. Molly has always been passionate about working with children, but she decided that occupational therapy was the right career path after nannying for two children with disabilities throughout high school. Throughout her undergraduate career, Molly sought out opportunities to work with both neurotypical and neurodiverse children, further developing her interest in early childhood development. She recently completed a Level II fieldwork rotation at the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children, which strengthened her interest in working with medically complex pediatric populations.

This academic year, Molly will complete her doctoral capstone at We Rock the Spectrum, an inclusive sensory play gym. She is excited to expand her knowledge and experience through LEND and to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Her ultimate career goal is to become a pediatric occupational therapist.
