Madeline Gillis

Madeline (Maddie) Gillis is a second-year Doctorate of Audiology student at the University of Pittsburgh. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and minors in Biology and Hearing and Speech Science. While she has always been interested in pursuing work with pediatric patients, her interest in audiology stems from her experience working with an audiologist as a Newborn Hearing Screener during her undergraduate degree.

She is excited to work with an interdisciplinary team of students and professionals to integrate different perspectives on providing healthcare and resources for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families. She hopes her experience as a LEND trainee will enable her to explore unique solutions and advocate more completely for her future patients as an audiologist.
