Lily Hoffman

  • LEND Occupational Therapy Trainee

Lily is a third-year Doctor of Occupational Therapy student at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2022, Lily earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from Slippery Rock University. Throughout her undergraduate career, Lily sought out multiple volunteer opportunities and continues to do so within the Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh. Lily has always been passionate about working with children diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disabilities. However, her passion grew when she began working at the Woodlands Foundation, a fully accessible camp that enriches the lives of children and adults with disabilities and chronic illnesses. She started as a Camp Counselor/Cabin Coordinator and is currently the coordinator for their weekly Music Ensemble program. Alongside this, Lily also has an immense interest in pediatric oncology. She recently completed her Level II fieldwork in the acute care setting at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where she treated children diagnosed with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

Throughout the upcoming year, Lily will be completing her Doctoral Capstone at the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD) and is thrilled to work alongside an incredible group of leaders as a 2024-2025 LEND Trainee. She is eager to expand her knowledge and hopes to improve as a future clinician and advocate for the disability community.
