Lauren Reinhardt
- LEND Psychology Trainee
Lauren Reinhardt is a fourth-year student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in the Clinical Psychology doctoral program (Psy.D.). She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2021, where she studied Psychology and Neuroscience while working as a research assistant/coordinator in multiple interdisciplinary clinical research labs. During this time, Lauren was able to contribute to the winning research proposal for the Pitt Innovation Project, publish a peer-reviewed article in The Journal of Adolescence, and win the Panther’s Forward scholarship. In graduate school, Lauren discovered a passion for supporting children with neurodevelopmental and related disorders through the provision of compassionate care and comprehensive diagnostic assessments. Lauren has conducted numerous neuropsychological and psychodiagnostic evaluations that provide clear diagnostic impressions and individualized treatment recommendations, helping guide accessible and effective treatment planning. Her interest in this field grew from early personal and professional experiences working with children with disabilities, particularly young children with autism. Lauren implements neurodiversity-affirming, evidence-based interventions with a focus on building resilience, fostering authentic self-expression, and honoring each individual’s unique strengths. She has worked with underserved communities in hospital-based, university, private practice, and community mental health settings across western Pennsylvania. She is also fiercely dedicated to advocacy and collaborative leadership, skills that she is thrilled to continue developing as a LEND trainee to better help families navigate and overcome systemic barriers to care.
