Cindy Iheanacho
- LEND Occupational Therapy Trainee
Cindy is passionate about supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities and advocating for more equitable, inclusive systems of care. Her interest in this field was shaped through formative experiences working with children at a public charter school and during her Level I fieldwork placement in the Life Skills classroom at Provident Charter School. These experiences gave her firsthand insight into the barriers students face in accessing necessary support and ignited her passion for educational equity and advocacy. As an undergraduate at the University of Delaware, Cindy also served as a mentor for underrepresented high school students, helping them navigate the transition to higher education and advocate for their needs within their communities and the state.
As she continues her journey to become an occupational therapist, Cindy is committed to providing equitable, person-centered services that reflect the strengths and needs of every individual and family she serves. Her goals include advocating for policies that improve access and quality of care for the neurodevelopmental disability community and remaining engaged with current issues affecting this population. She values collaborative, strengths-based practice and is dedicated to lifelong learning in support of inclusive, impactful care.
