- LEND Applied Developmental Psychology Trainee
Brittany Hart is a second-year master’s student in the Applied Developmental Psychology program. She graduated with honors in May 2021 from San Diego State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies through the Weber Honors College. During her undergraduate studies, she served as a psychology peer advisor and a research assistant in an autism lab, which sparked her interest in neuropsychological assessments and supporting children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. After completing her degree, Brittany worked as an early childhood educator, supporting children with diverse learning needs and utilizing various tools, including early childhood assessments.
In the first year of her graduate program, Brittany interned with HealthyCHILD, where she delivered social-emotional lessons to students in Pittsburgh Public Schools, and completed the medium-term trainee track with LEND. Her professional interests include exploring the social determinants of health, promoting equitable access to resources for minority children and families, and addressing disparities in diagnosis and treatment within underserved populations.
